Justin had his first wrestling match ever yesterday at Desert Hills Middle School in Kennewick. He is wrestling at 127 lbs. He has been learning some moves in practice and used some of them in his match. He did really well. Here's video of the match. Uncle Matt, any pointers?

thanks so much for sending the video of your first match--you have to save that. I was proud of your agressiveness-that's a must, if you are going to prevail. You seem to have really good "mat sense"-keep working, and you will get better, be a real force, and most importantly, have fun. congratulations

Nice Job, Justin! It looks like you've got a good start on some basic, fundamental moves. Don't worry about fancy moves - they will come with time and experience. The only "pointers" I would have, is to pay your dues on conditioning days, and you'll be glad you did when the score is tight in the third round!
